These were taken actually a while ago but I was too lazy to edit them. My work ethic has gotten bad lately. How to improve? I have stupid pigeons living on my balconey that won't fly away, it's driving me crazy. I went to see Harry Potter last night. Oh...the disappointment. After waiting all that time since November, my expectations were greatly defeated. It was anticlimatic, flawed but the cinematography (done by Bruno Delbonnel, one of my favourite cinematographers (Amelie, Across the Universe) was a highlight as was the amazing camera work using really shallow aperture. The lighting was also phenomenally beautiful as well. It was a visually stimulating movie as always but it fell short for me as a successful movie in the Potter franchise. Maybe I'll rewatch the 4th sometime, has always been a favourite.
It's like a dream come true, it's raining FOOD!

Oh...Hugh Dancy

I'm so sorry for not updating in so long, I've been having way too much fun recently. Went down to the bluffs and got stung by a red ant, went to my friend's birthday party, and best of all, yesterday I went to see the movie Adam which comes out on the 29th. I was very fortunate to get advance free screening tickets, especially because the dreamy Hugh Dancy, who was phenomenal in the movie as well as Rose Byrne and Max Mayer came out at the end to have a Q&A session! Of course me and my friend were swooning and didn't have enough courage to say hi. On a different note, I recommend everyone to check it out! It's a love story between a man with Asperger Syndrome and the way their relationship plays out is meaningful and extremely well acted, the cinematography is also phenomenally well done. Did I mention Hugh Dancy is adorable in person? He is.

Does anyone else think that the people in the background look like Panic at the Disco? Maybe it's because I'm still heartbroken.

I'm kind of loving Kalle Gustafsson's photography work. He hails from Sweden and uses location to the most powerful advantage. I find his photographs tell the most beautiful stories because of his ability to use location to his advantage. You always try to think about what the characters in the pictures are doing, they're not just beautiful people playing a facade with the blank wall. Check out his website for more!

Is it odd that I'm STILL obsessed with this campaign?

Let us take a moment to commemorate the moment I've been waiting for since they pushed the release date back from November. HARRY POTTER IS COMING OUT TOMORROW! And 500 Days of Summer is coming out on Friday! Alice is HAPPY. I have tons of pictures to post up but I haven't had a chance to edit them yet! I will!

Went shopping at Value Village again. I didn't find anything for myself but my friend got a shitload of amazing stuff, including this prettty dress above. I'm kind of obsessed with these silk pants, they are so amazingly comfortable.
Wearing Anthropologie pants and necklace, Suzy Shier blazer, vintage shoes, Winners Cardigan and shirt, Aldo bag, Kensington sunglasses.
I'm kind of in love with Jason Schwartzman.

Haha, this squirrel was posing by my tree, Bob. Wearing Vint black dress and loafers, Aldo bag.
Spent the past couple of days going downtown, strolling around Kensington and having a swell time as well as working. I don't know if you can tell but the top part of this dress is actually supposed to be a halter, I changed it around so the panel of tulle was higher instead of around the stomach area and made it all in all, more flattering. The detailing is amazingly beautiful. I changed later that night to have sushi with my friend at this amazing place on Kensington. The best tempura and bento box ever. I find myself craving for sushi all the time, enough of fast food joints!
For those of you waiting to hear about the Chickdowntown contest, I'm pleased to announce the winner! Congrats to Jessica Esteban who wrote me this:

what i love about summer

it's not down to one word or one activity

but a collective of quenching watermelons downed alongside a friend and a lover--oceanside, cool winds, warm sun, warmer company, the aroma of your neighbor's cut grass, long days, ray ban vision, living on a suitcase, wedding bells, night breezes crawling up a yellow tent dress, dishevled hair, the sound of sandals clipping against the heel, burning pavement, pistachio gelato melting with every minute passed, sweltering heat, driving down the highway all windows down, waiting for your date at the cinema, waves crashing, street performers by the dozen, the crowds of people shopping downtown, burning orange sunsets, transient loves, i love this spectrum,

i love the color of summer
I'm so happy to have been given a chance to have this contest because hearing all your answers was the best part. It's a season everyone looks forward to and it was awesome for me to hear all you had to say.
On a sad note, I just died a little today. Found out two members (Ryan and Jon) of Panic at the Disco are leaving the band. It is a sad day.
Song of the Day: Panic at the Disco ---Northern Downpour
I'm sobbing a little inside that I won't get to see them four together, ever.

Altered Vintage dress, Payless Shoes, H&M shirt

I kind of love this dress except it's annoying as hell to wear. The lining scratches my neck and I need to fix the bodice somemore. Nevertheless, I love it with a blazer. I will announce the winner of the contest v.v. soon. I hate my hair and am in dire need of a haircut, any suggestions? I was thinking this.

It's not a huge change but I really have loved this hair since forever and I want it a little bit shorter. Ideas? I have a terrible relationship with my hair. On a side note, her dress in the picture is fantabulous. I want to eat sushi and paint.

Video of the Day: Gone in a Flash

Hilarious short film. Amazing editing and camera work. Some people hate the ending, I personally find it hilarious.

I cannot explain the obsession I have over this shoot. The styling is impeccable and imaginative, a modern renaissance interpretation, the sets are so gorgeous and British and the girl, the photography...everything is perfect. I love love love. Which also reminds me, I can't wait until the 14th, Midnight Madness!

This outfit needs to be in my life. The watercolour silk trousers, statement necklace and the wonderful way the colours meld together. Matthew Williamson.

Aren't these cute? Reminds me of the Art Deco style a bit and is the perfect amount of quirky. By up and coming designer Romina Karamanea

How have you all been? Just a reminder that there's only TWO more days until the Contest ends so be sure to scroll down for details! Email me your entries if you live in the USA! Also, thought I should post up some art since I haven't for the longest time and I really must paint more, and take more outfit pictures. Will update very soon! OH, Happy Canada Day!
A wonderful song from her new album Far, check it out if you haven't yet. In which she imitates dolphin noises. "I've got a perfect body, but sometimes I forget". What a lovely mentality.
