OMG J CREW. How appropriate Ashley is making this face to introduce the Febuary J. Crew catalogue pictures. Just perfect for spring, I actually spasm at the beauticiousness of it.

OMG pink oxfords...oh, and that backdrop, so lovely.

Those socks. That bowtie, the layering of a sequined vest.

I know using a rope as a belt would probably never work in real life. But in this shoot, it just adds something.

I LOVE THIS HOUSE. I cannot overstate that, I want to live in a house where the outside is turquoise and is wallpapered. So prettttttttty.

Living for the weekend

I'm so excited for the new semester. I've been rewatching the Weekenders, I love that cartoon, it's so chock full of hilarity and wit. I'm pretending its spring by wearing an overload of florals. I took this way ages ago, but after some digging, decided I liked it.

I love Brooks Reynold's work. He took one of my favourite photos of all time of Tegan and Sara and he uses light and focus in the most interesting way.





Another favourite photographer of mine found recently is Brigitte Lancombe. Her portraitures for Vanity Fair are quietly powerful and just wonderfully candid.



I have no idea where I found these next three but there's just a wonderful play of masculinity and feminity in the styling and a lovely chemistry between the two girls. I also love the minimal settings and nostalgic air of the photographs.

I shot this today by the harbour. I'm going to make a prioity to come down lots in the summer, I bet the sunsets are exquisite. Betsey Johnson dress.

I've been really meaning to post but just haven't found the time this week. Next week is exams which I'm looking forward to because then this semester will finally be over. I went to see Tegan and Sara on Wednesday, a gig I've been looking forward to a long time. It was surreal seeing the girls live, they were so humorous, down-to-earth and just conveyed this wonderful energy and intimacy. Plus it was so mindblowing seeing them after a summer of obsessing and watching live shows and interviews, haha. I love Tegan, their both uber hot. Anyways I stood in a bad place since me and Maddy totally thought the show started at 8 instead of 7 and had to rush to the Kool Haus. I really wish I was closer, the lighting was absurdly good and I could have and should have done better. So here's the picspam. Outfit post soon I promise. I'm so swamped this week, going to see Tegan and Sara on Wednesday, of which I'm a million times excited about. And I'm buying a new lens very soon + there's a shoot coming up a Saturday which I'm very excited about. I did a shoot this Sunday and here it is. Playing with light leaks on photoshop. One of my favourite series I've done.
