I'm a high school lover, and you're my favorite flavor

Gary Baseman. I love the juxtaposition of sinister imagery and vivid colours in dream like scenarios. There's also something satirical about his work.

SARAH CLIFFORD-RASHOTTE. Amazing Toronto based artist. I was sent an email about her gallery showing at Le Gallery but I didn't get a chance to make it, I so wish I could see it in person.

More of Audrey Kawasaki. There is such softness and beauty in her work.

RAY CAESAR! I have no words to express how amazing his work is. I hope I have the pleasure of seeing his work someday in person because it is marvelous. Does anyone have any idea what ultrachrome is? Or how he makes these pieces? They are supposedly print making in some form but I'm confused about how that could possibly be.

I have no idea who this smiley girl is but I don't really care either. I simply adore the styling of this shoot. It is definitive of what I aspire to be like, a little mismatched, non-sensical and blossoming with colours.

Skins is definately the most satorialy interesting show I've seen in a long while. More so than Gossip Girl. It's more raw and the people seem more real and relatable. And the clothes, I swoon. The teens seem to have an unabashedly colourful way of dressing that is full of quirks that relate to each of their characters.

I'm in love with Naomi. The coolest girl you will ever meet on the telly.

I love Julia Frake's style but am I the only one who thinks she looks a tad frail? She looks frighteningly thin in pictures sometimes.
I apologize a million times for not updating for over a week (and for this fantastically long post) but I'm going to have to pause the blog until next week as I'm swamped with exam time. After finals, I will be freeeeee! It sucks that the weather isn't matching the time right now, it's freezing here. This will be undoutedly an amazing summer, I can count on it and I'll be sure to get some outfit updates, in a week, I promise!
Song of the Day: Air---Highschool Lover
From the soundtrack to the Virgin Suicides. I can't stop listening to it. Also, has anyone bought Sims 3 yet? HOW IS IT??

Gary Baseman is the bomb! But I love the others that you posted that I'm not as familiar with. The blond girls are so sweet, yet sinister...

the black haired girl in the photographs where you said that you like the style of the shoot is selena gomaz... its from last months issue of teen vogue. i really want to watch skins, but here in america it is impossible to find on the telly... it sounds amazing though! http://framestheworld.blogspot.com/

The Sims 3 is AMAZING. I played it for 5 hours straight without even noticing. I probably shouldn't admit that.

Julia Frakes looks frighteningly thin, always. She's vegan.. so obviously eating a limited diet. I think she is a great example for how having a well-rounded diet is a very positive thing.

oooh gary baseman and sarah clifford-rashotte are amazing! i think i've seen gary baseman's works reproduced as collectibles/toys! very familiar.

and ray caesar's works are so creepy! the one of the little girl who looks like marie antoinette seriously gave me the chills.

also, the photoshoot you posted is the one of selena gomez for teenvogue (i think the one before or after miley cyrus' cover.. ew, really aiming at the teenyboppers). anyway, the last picture you posted, which is also the cover.. DO YOU SEE THAT BLUE BRACELET WITH THE GIANT GOLD STUDS!? I SWEAR IT'S BALENCIAGA, BUT I CAN'T FIND A PROPER SEPARATE PICTURE OF IT ANYWHERE! and they didn't even write the name of it in the 'what was she wearing on the cover' page. damn them!!

sims 3 is really good! there are a few things that annoy me and you have to get the hang of it but it's just as fun as sims 2.
also, i love that teen vogue styling aswell. it looks so effortless just throwing things together, but it's so hard to re-create that kind of mismatched look without going over the top.

I'm pleased to read you watch skins too! So few people I speak with have seen the show which is amazing and way better than most american teen dramas. I'm a big fan of Emily and Effy they dress brilliant on the show! Kinda vintage, rock and roll, hippie!

The smily girl is Selena Gomez(played in "another cinderella story" and is rumored to be taylor lautner's girfriend-the jacob guy from twilight), which you probably have already found out:)i love the styling in those pics too:)
