"No one laughs at God"

I am in love with Cecilia Carlstedt's work. It's so fresh and lovely and I am especially obsessed with the layering and the jewels in the last one.

It's hard to describe this second one. Leopold Rabus. I love the surrealism and juxtaposition of normal and absurd in his art. I'm still exploring the whole art scene and don't know it as well so sorry if I sound like I know nothing of what I'm talking about. Also, for you art scenesters in Toronto, what are some great galleries to check out? I need to do that more often.

Can anyone invite me to fffound please? Seems like a cool site and I'd like to save images internetically.

My eyes are so bleery today. It's so cold. I don't know if I'm like many bloggers. I don't have a huge closet full of clothes with a seemingly endless budget. I like wearing the comfortable pieces, such as this floral button up. It's the lighter one. I always use it as a layering piece. This is a long post. Winners colourful floral shirt, Club Monaco blazer, Jacob floral shirt, Gap shorts and thrifted belt and shoes.
I don't know if I feel good about this video but I love the song. I love her subtle accent. New Album June 23rd!

I love your use of colour and how you combine equally beautiful pieces to make an even greater look. I love the boots!

And, the two artists are very cool. The last one is especially unique.

i know exactly how you feel... seeing as i dont have a huge wardrobe or endless money to spend on clothes, but i think it is people who have limited resources who are the most fashionable, because they can make anything work! :)

I love that song! Regina Spektor is absolutely amazing. I saw her live like 4 years ago, and all I really remember is that she performed a song where she played the piano with one hand while she used the other hand to beat her piano chair with a drum stick and it was amazing.

Great outfit as always! Love the blouse, so colorful! :)

I love your outfits! Thsoe shoes are love!

I don't have an endless budget or expansive wardrobe either. I very rarely go clothes shopping, but I guess that makes fashion all the more special to me. The fact that it's a treat :D

I LOVE Regina! I got to see her when she was on her Begin To Hope tour. She's amazing, wonderful, beautiful. That song is great! I can't wait for the new album!

beautiful floral shirt! You have the most wonderful springtime wardrobe.
And trust me, I always feel like the worst blogger ever! I buy like three new things every two months, oh and I'm always wearing things not the way they're supposed to be worn because I'm cheap and can't afford anything. You sure look like you have a ton of clothes though!
Did you draw those? they're amazing, stunning, gorgeous. Great job!

thanks for sharing cecilia's work! they're amazing! i especially like the 1st fashion illustration of the girl on the left. so good!

galleries to check out in toronto? umm the only one i can think of is the AGO, lol. i think there's some event going on at the Textiles Museum too, but we had a field trip there in april and apparently it was really boring (or at least the exhibits we had to see.. obviously i didn't go, lol). unfortunately, we live in a pretty small city even if it's one of the biggest in canada and don't have galleries everywhere around the corner like new york city. ACTUALLY, now that i think about it.. you could probably check out Yorkville cuz i know they have a lot of small art galleries!

and thanks for your comment! jeeez pretty? look who's talking!

oh, and i agree about the spending-lots-of-money-on-clothes thing. i would love to, obviously, if i HAD the money in the first place. but i don't mind settling for less cuz i buy things on sale most of the time unless i feel like splurging (or if it's something that'll last me a long time like a blazer or something) but i also really like hitting up the VV like you aha, cuz i love looking through stuff and finding one-of-a-kind pieces! for some reason, it kind of feels rewarding when you come out with a few things that you really like for only like, 7 bucks a piece!

Wow Carlstedt's illustrations are gorgeous. Really whimsical and pretty.

I don't have an endless supply of money either. It's definitely better to have some well worn, comfy pieces that you love rather than a wardobe full of non-necessities.
